1960s Vintage Skirt Set │ My Vintage Addiction

This was one of those outfits I was supposed to sell. But, I listed it and it didn't sell right away. So I unlisted it and now I'm wearing it. It's all so very simple. And yet, I tried to complicate things by selling it. Silly me. When the vintage dress fits, wear it!  ( ... and then maybe later sell it).   I kind of like how this ↑ whole thing ↓ turned out. While this one isn't for sale, I have plenty more in my Etsy store. Visit Perennial Vintag e ◄ to see it all! And read a little back story to my Etsy beginnings with my new post on Society Letters ◄ to which I'm a regular contributor. Have a great week friends!

Summer Fun │ Lake Tahoe Camping

If you've never been to Tahoe or the surrounding area, you are missing out on one of the most amazing bit of God's country you've ever laid eyes on. There's a reason this is one of the world's top destinations. It's clean, rugged, pristine, beautiful, clear, and serene. We were there camping when storms came through. Which is pretty awesome. My boys loved it. I loved it.  It's just unbelievably gorgeous and perfect there. No better way to describe it. Summer has been moving fast. Not enough time to do everything. And somehow, said time has disappeared into a black hole never to be found again. But, pretty glad we could squeeze this trip in. Have a great week friends!

Dresses and More Dresses │ Vintage Wrap Up 6.17.15

You guys, one word: dresses. Believe it or not, I didn't used to like dresses. Okay, so that's not totally true. As a young lass, I loved wearing them. Every day to school, where ever I went. Dresses on the jungle gym (problematic), dresses to play, to eat in, to church, to shop, to live in. All the time. Then I took a hiatus from them. Not sure why. I'll just blame it on the teenager-moody-thing. But, since my vintage quest five years ago, dresses have become such a fun return to my life. Found a few this week. Fun to wear, fun to list and let others wear, too. Happy weekend y'all. This 1950s Hawaiian Style dress is just incredible. It has a train-like pleated back. Seriously amazing. Scroll down to find it at my shop↓ So far, this is the only dress I'm not selling. 1960s sleeveless perfection. Fits too well at this point to sell. But, maybe one day. :)    This dress is magnificent. Can I just say tha

Vintage Love │ Vintage Wrap Up │7.03.15

Yeah, so this was one of those tops. One that I picked and loved the second I laid eyes on it. And when it fit, I knew it wasn't going to leave my closet. The colors. The cut! However, if I find more, I will share.  And list them in my Etsy shop.  Yet another reason I love vintage, I get to play pretend. I get to pretend I'm a huge Chicago Bears fan, when I'm not. Okay, so perhaps I could be. And should be. I have a few friends  from there or are living there. Enough reason to like the Bears over the Niners, I suppose.  Niners, I still love you ... when you're playing like you should. Which, well, it's been a couple of years guys ... It is summer. But I don't for a minute forget my true love: Cool weather (notice I didn't say cold because California  doesn't know what cold is - most unfortunately). This sweater would be perfect in true cold weather. Like New England. Or Wisconsin. Or Iceland, where this s
